PLEDGE TO PARENTS

In our school, we will abide by federal and state laws to provide our students with the best education possible. To this end:
1. We are committed to academic excellence and eliminating the politicization of education, ensuring instructional time is focused on core subjects such as mathematics and reading rather than ideology or political material, in response to the demonstrated need for stronger academic proficiency.
2. We are committed to transparency and will abide by the Protection of Pupil Rights Amendment (PPRA), recognizing that parents are responsible for the upbringing of their children and will be fully informed regarding issues pertaining to their child’s well-being without schools encouraging children to withhold information.
3. We will abide by federal obscenity law, along with common sense, when determining school curricula and library materials.
4. We will only display national and state flags on school grounds.
5. We acknowledge biological reality and will base policies related to sports participation, bathroom and locker room use, and overnight trip accommodations on biological sex rather than preferred gender identity.
6. We will ensure all students, regardless of background or identity group, understand the unique history of the United States, including the full story of the nation and the principles of America’s founding.
7. We will not perform medical diagnoses on students, including social or mental health interventions, without parental consent.
8. We will require parental consent for participation in all extracurricular activities, including sports and clubs.
9. We acknowledge the importance of the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and will not force students to violate their religious beliefs or compel speech through mandated language.
10. We are committed to equality and pledge to implement merit-based policies.
